Read for a LifetimeThe Illinois State Library created this statewide program to encourage the reading of classic and contemporary literature by high school students. The Read for a Lifetime list includes 25 titles. Students need to read at least 4 titles from the list during the school year to receive a certificate of achievement sigend by Secretary of State Jesse White. As with the Lincoln Awards, students need to complete a reading slip to turn in the library.
