- To help save the environment and save yourself some time, READ the information before you print or make copies to ensure you are getting the correct information
- When you using the internet, make sure the sites you are using meet the CARS criteria.
C Credible - Is the source trustworthy? Is the source or author known or a respected source?
A Accurate - Is the information presented on the site current and balances without prejudice?
R Reasonable - Is the site trying to be balanced and fair to all sides?
S Supported - Does the site provide contact information and evidence to back up their claims?
- Plagiarizing is BAD...Citing is GOOD - According to the Webster's Student Dictionary, plagiarizing is "steal[ing] writings from another". The Rockridge Handbook categorizes plagiarizing in terms of Academic Fraud with "academic and/or disciplinary consequences"
